Daly Bagel is a bakery located in Oak Park, IL. The site is located in a part of Oak Park that was desperately in need of a hub that brings people together. The creation of this brick-and-mortar site of Daly Bagel is not just a shop - the bakery will serve as a community center that provides a place for people to get a cup of coffee, a bite to eat, and a place to meet. Although there are other community hubs in Oak Park, Daly Bagel is located away from those other hubs, mainly in the center of mostly residential buildings. Besides helping create a new hub for the people of Oak Park, Hammersley Architecture also worked to design a space that was efficient and easy to use for making and baking bagels in such a small space.
