Located in the Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago, this project seeks to capitalize on its location to attract daily commuters, in addition to drawing diners for lunch and early dinner from the surrounding commercial high-rises. Our concept was sought to ensure the bar was the focal point of the space and allow other associated activities to happen around it. A long large bar placed in the middle of the main room forces circulation around on both sides. Sit-down-eating inhabits the area adjacent to views to the outside. A warm material palette and a sea of lighting, combined with a central bar element creates an inviting atmosphere for both travelers and dining patrons.
