South Shore New Beginnings Daycare Center is a new facility located in an existing structure.  This building conversion will change the first floor into a children's learning center and renovate the second floor to serve as the residence for the center director.  Our concept for this project centered around three basic values - feeling safe, community, and education.  We have manifest those three values architecturally as furniture pieces that divide, direct, shelter, gather, and offer work spaces for the children.  These furniture pieces are the main architectural elements of the project, they give the space meaning and character.
