The Studebaker Theatre and adjacent Playhouse space are located in the historic Fine Arts Building on Chicago's Michigan Avenue. Despite its past lives as a Vaudeville theatre and a movie theatre, the client aims to bring new life into this turn-of-the-century space and make it suitable for musical performances. Currently, the project renovation will include fully updating the climate control systems and dressing rooms, creating a new stage, new curtains and lighting rigs, new orchestra pit, and stage access for the actors from the back of house. Construction is currently underway.
